Montreal Impact sign Bojan Krkic following forward’s departure from Stoke by mutual consent

Montreal Impact signed Spanish free agent forward Bojan Krkic on a deal through to the end of the 2020 season on Wednesday.
‘Bojan is a very talented player who… chose the Impact to pursue his career, after having played for some of the biggest clubs in the world,’ Montreal head coach Remi Garde said in a club statement.

‘His offensive ability to get others involved in the game and to score goals will be of precious help for the final stretch of the season. I welcome him to our club.’
Bojan made his first-team debut for Barcelona in 2007 at the age of 17 years and 19 days, breaking Lionel Messi’s team record for youngest player to feature in a La Liga match.
He spent four seasons with the Barcelona first-team, scoring 41 goals in 162 games before he was sold to Roma in 2011.
His other European stops before joining Stoke City in 2014 included loans with Milan and Ajax.
Bojan left Stoke by mutual consent this week after making 85 appearances for the club
