- He is now due to have an operation and then go through rehabilitation
The winger had to be substituted during the early minutes of the match and a scan confirmed the extent of the problem.
He will now undergo surgery on the knee in the next week before starting the rehabilitation process.

Sane had been a long-term transfer target for Bayern Munich, but the injury has scuppered any chance of a deal being agreed this summer.
Since joining the club from Schalke in 2016, Sane has scored 39 goals in 134 games and lifted two Premier League titles.
