EASTENDERS fans were shocked tonight as Louise Mitchell went on the run with Keanu Taylor – leaving her ailing dad Phil behind.
During tonight’s episode Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) goes on the run from the police as he’s convinced someone has set him up for attacking Phil.
After some deliberation pregnant Louise decides to go with him – leaving those watching at home concerned about their future.
Taking to Twitter to comment on it, one person wrote: “As if Louise would just leave her dad who is in hospital to run away with the number one suspect in his attack? #EastEnders”
A second added: “Sorry but Louise would last 30 minutes on the run before she does Keanus head in. #EastEnders”
While a third wrote: “Oh come on, why would Louise run away with Keanu when her dad’s just come out of a coma? #EastEnders”
Last week Phil (Steve McFadden) was hit over the head with a wrench by Stacey – and Ben is trying to frame Keanu after learning he had been written out of his dad’s will.
When Phil wakes up from his coma he is quizzed by police and admits he remembers rowing with Keanu.
Meanwhile Sharon (Letitia Dean) returns home and finds the plastic bag – where she hid her DNA test – lying on the table.
Panicking she rushes to find Keanu and demands to know why he left it there, shouting: “Is this your way of telling me you knew?”
Viewers know that the test reveals that Phil isn’t the father of her baby – meaning Keanu is by default.
Finding out the truth, he exclaims: “I’m the father? You swore to me that I wasn’t. I didn’t even look at it.”
As it sinks in he demands to know: “I am the father and you were not even going to tell me?”
Realising he had no idea, Sharon tells him: “We never had this conversation, we never talk about it ever again OK?”
Keanu makes up his mind to leave and tells Louise: “I am being fitted up here. I am being framed. I don’t have a choice.”
He tries to make her leave with him but she doesn’t want to and they share a very emotional goodbye.
“You look after our baby, no matter what anyone says,” he tells her. “I love you, I always will. One last thing – you don’t know anything about this alright?”
She later has a change of heart and arrives at the tube station just in time to catch him going through the barriers.
But will happen to Louise and her baby if they go into hiding?
