BRITAIN’S Got Talent: The Champions, Simon Cowell’s latest creation, finished filming scenes for the series at the end of August – and the winner has already been crowned.

The spin-off, which is pretaped, is premiering on ITV very soon, but what else is there to know about the show and who is taking part?

When does it start?

There still hasn’t been an official start date set by ITV just yet.

We do know, however, that the finale was taped at Wembley Arena at the end of August, which would mean that a premiere date will be announced in the coming weeks.

Embarrassingly enough, the contestant who won the show showed off their trophy outside of the arena, which prompted the name of the winner to get leaked.

We won’t spoil it for you, but if you do care to know who’s won the show, a simple Twitter search will bring up the answer in no time.

Who’s in the line-up?

The series consists of former contestants who either won the talent show or competed as a Golden Buzzer act with fan favourites dating back to the first season.

Among those who have reportedly been confirmed by credible sources are season one winner Paul Potts, the ever-so-entertaining Stavros Flatley and 2012 winner Ashleigh Butler.

In what seems to be a rather interesting move by producers, Ashley was brought back by producers and she’s competing with a new dog named Sally after the shock death of her beloved Pudsey two years ago.

The rest of the names who are believed to be taking part in the BGT: The Champions this year include George Sampson, Ben Hart, Jai McDowall, Connie Talbot and Lost Voice Guy.

Daliso Chaponda, Alex Magala, Bars and Melody, and Connie Talbot were also named in the list of rumoured contestants that have yet to be confirmed by ITV.

Susan Boyle was initially said to have been in talks to join but things fell through when the singer’s schedule was to clash with the dates BGT would film scenes for the forthcoming series.

Diversity were also approached for a position on the show but declined because they were also too busy to compete.

When will Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions be on TV?

ITV are yet to announce the release date for Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions.

However, it is thought the programme will air this autumn and is expected to have seven episodes.

Even judge Alesha Dixon has no clue when the series launches, as she told Metro: “I don’t know when it’s going out, but I think it’s going to be quite a special show.”
