BELLE Hassan has admitted that her famous dad, Tamer Hassan, pulled strings to get her on Love Island.
The 21-year-old make-up artist was a late arrival on the ITV2 dating show, joining as part of the Casa Amor twist and coupling up with singleton Anton Danyluk.
The pair narrowly missed out on a spot in last Monday’s grand finale, and their romance has been going from strength to strength in the outside world.
Now Belle has admitted that she used her connections to get a spot in the elusive show – which had over 80,000 people apply.
She told Closer Online: “I had a conversation with my dad and he asked me if I wanted to do the show.
“I didn’t really think much of it and before I knew it one of his friends [got me in contact] with someone at ITV and then I did the audition and started the application process.”
It was previously revealed that only SIX out of this year’s 36 Islanders were selected for the show through the standard application process.
The overwhelming majority were found by the show’s casting team or pushed onto producers by their agents.
Joe Garratt, Amy Hart, Ovie Soko, and Michael Griffiths were among the stars to have applied via the traditional method.
The actor entered the villa as part of the show’s Meet The Parents segment to introduce himself to Anton, warmly welcoming him into the family.
He was also spotted joining Belle and Anton on their first date outside of the villa, dancing with the lovebirds as they enjoyed an evening out at her brother’s restaurant.
