Wayne Bridge reckons Chelsea have the edge ahead of Wednesday night’s Europa League final against Arsenal .
The Blues take on their Premier League rivals in Baku having already secured qualification for next season’s Champions League.
However, the Gunners must beat Maurizio Sarri’s side to win a spot in Europe’s elite club completion after missing out on a top four place.
But Bridge believes Chelsea ’s previous experience in cup finals will stand them in good stead.
He said: “I think Chelsea will win but it’s going to be a really tight game. They show up in finals – they played really well against City. They defended well, created chances.
“They know how to win finals, so they’ve definitely got a chance.
“It could be [Eden] Hazard’s last game for the club and he will want to go out on a high. He’s been tremendous and I don’t know how they will replace him. It’s a massive dent in the squad.”
Manager Sarri could be sacked even if Chelsea add silverware to their trophy cabinet.
Former Blue Bridge admits he’s surprised the Italian is still at Stamford Bridge after a fractious relationship with fans.
He added: “They’ve been inconsistent. The fans are used to seeing them winning things and challenging for the Premier League. They may win a trophy but they haven’t been very good to watch.
“So much has gone on that I’m surprised the manager is still there. The situation in the League Cup final when Kepa refused to come off was a shambles and they both dealt with it badly. If they are still on a transfer ban god knows what they’re going to be like next year.”
