The photographs certainly look legitimate with Manuel Lanzini and Felipe Anderson model them home and away jerseys, respectively.

And if they are the correct ones then the fans, who are already delighted, are set to splash a lot of cash on their retro-inspired shirts.

The traditional claret and blue kit is a tribute to the club’s 1976 European Cup Winners Cup final strip, which was also used until the 1980s.

West Ham United legend Trevor Brooking prepares to shoot in 1977 in the strip which has inspired their 2019/20 kitAnd it’s a departure from last season’s which was almost all claret apart from come trim, which was light blue.

Meanwhile, the change kit is a minimalistic white number with subtle claret and blue trim and collar which fans are loving, as you can see below.

Some supporters, though, were disappointed with the choice to pair the home shirt with clarets shorts when the club traditionally has white shorts and socks.
