GAME of Thrones’ Kit Harington has checked into rehab for stress and alcohol issues.
The 32-year-old actor is best known for playing Jon Snow in the hit HBO series, which came to an end earlier this month.
The exhausted star has been staying at the luxury Prive-Swiss health retreat in Connecticut for nearly a month according to Page Six.
A representative for Kit confirmed the news to The Sun, saying: “Kit has decided to utilize this break in his schedule as an opportunity to spend some time at a wellness retreat to work on some personal issues.”
Kit arrived at the facility weeks before the show came to an end on May 19, according to Page Six.
The outlet added the actor has been undergoing psychological coaching, practicing mindful meditation and cognitive behavioral therapy while at the facility.
This is to combat stress as well as deal with negative emotions, with his stay costing over £94,800 a month.
Kit’s wife Rose Leslie, 32, has been “extremely supportive” according to Page Six sources.
The couple married in June last year after meeting on the set of Game of Thrones.
The source added to Page Six: “The end of ‘GoT’ really hit Kit hard …
“He realised ‘this is it — this is the end’, it was something they had all worked so hard on for so many years. He had a moment of, what next?
“He’s in the clinic predominantly for stress and exhaustion and also alcohol.
“His wife Rose is being extremely supportive. Everyone close to him really wanted him to get some rest. Right now, he just needs peace and quiet.”
Kit was seen getting emotional during a final table read for the last episode, which featured in the documentary, The Last Watch, which aired this month.
