Report Suggests Man United Will Not Let Inter Sign Romelu Lukaku Cheaply

Manchester United will not let Romelu Lukaku go cheaply, according to English tabloid The Daily Mirror, who report that the club are expecting a considerable sum of cash should Inter formalize an offer for the Belgian striker.

Only two years ago, Man United payed Everton £90 million, including bonuses in order to get Lukaku’s signature. However, Lukaku doesn’t fit into coach Ole Gunnar Solkjaer’s future plans, having made only 15 appearances as a starting player out of a 29 possible since Solkjaer took over from José Mourinho.

Now, according to the report, the Belgian striker is considering a move to Italy and has already reached an agreement with Inter for a £175.000 net weekly salary in hope that the €50 million offer Inter has made will convince Manchester United.

Man United boss Ed Woodward, however, is of the opinion that the 42 goals scored in 96 games hasn’t decreased Lukaku’s value that much, that’s why he is asking for £70 million.
